Because all of our cakes are priced individually by the complexity of their design, we do not have a standard price list.
How do I order a cake?
To start the order process, please send an email to saltcitysweets@yahoo.com with the following information:
- The date of your event
- The occasion/nature of your event (wedding, birthday, retirement, etc.)
- The event location, delivery address, and delivery time
- How many people you will need to feed
- Your daytime phone number
- Your email address
- What flavor cake, filling and icing
- An idea of what kind of cake design you are looking for
We will contact you to discuss your order and/or schedule an appointment if necessary.
We do not have any cakes pre-made for sale. Every cake we make is custom made to order from start to finish.
What is your payment policy?
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your order; the remainder is due at least two weeks prior to your event. Your order is not confirmed until we have received your 30% non-refundable deposit.
Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express). Cake orders placed with less than two weeks notice require payment in full by credit card or cash at the time of ordering. Rush orders may result in an additional charge. Deposits are non-refundable. There will be a $37 service charge for all returned checks!
If you cancel your order, your balance payment is refundable provided Salt City Sweets is notified at least five (5) business days prior to the event. There is no payment refund on orders canceled within five (5) business days of the event.
Event dates are held for you through the date of your appointment or quote, and five (5) business days afterwards. If we do not receive a 30% deposit within five (5) business days of your appointment or quote, your date may become unavailable.
If for any reason we are unable to fulfill our obligation to you, your deposit will be refunded.
Do you deliver?
Delivery is available for wedding cakes and cakes that require on-site assembly. We do not ship our cakes.
Delivery fees are calculated by distance traveled and are roughly 55 cents per mile. Our delivery range is roughly 4-6 hours from Grand Saline. Grand Saline is located in the great state of Texas.
While it is generally not a problem for clients to transport smaller cakes, self-transporting any cake is at your own risk. Salt City Sweets does not recommend clients self-transporting 3D/sculptural cakes, cakes over 2 tiers tall, or any cake more than 3 hours and is not responsible for any damage that may occur to any client-transported cake once it has left Salt City Sweets.
